18TH & VINE SAFETY LIST
A Simple and Practical Safety List Compiled By An Area Resident
- STAY ON 18TH & VINE STREET UNLESS YOU’RE VISITING THE FAMOUS ARTHUR BRYANT’S BBQ RESTAURANT AT 1727 BROOKLYN AVENUE
- IT’S “SAFE” TO WALK UP AND DOWN THE STREET DURING THE DAY
- ORGANIZED WALKING TOURS ARE SAFE
THE NEGRO LEAGUES BASEBALL MUSEUM HOURS ARE GENERALLY 9-5. CHECK HERE BEFORE YOU DEPART
DO NOT LINGER TOO LONG AFTER THE MUSEUM CLOSES
AVOID WALKING AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD–MOSTLY BECAUSE THERE’S NOTHING TO SEE. THE AREA IS ESSENTIALLY AN INDUSTRIAL PARK NOT AN INVITING RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD
AVOID THE CITY BUS SYSTEM IF YOU CAN. ALTHOUGH CURRENTLY FREE IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED
DO NOT RETURN TO THE AREA AFTER DARK, ESPECIALLY ON THE WEEKEND
Be SMART. Stay SAFE!
